It’s the wildest night of awards events, with the sparkly mini dresses, the sheer gowns and the best and brightest of music taking the spotlight – right where they are used to being. The winner of the biggest night in music was the biggest performer of the year – Beyonce took home six awards from her 10 nominations. Lady Gaga made an entrance and also went home with a slew of awards for her album The Fame. Taylor Swift beat out Kings of Leon, Beyonce and Gaga for record of the year. As usual girl power reigned supreme and the belles of music made the loudest statements in the finest couture.
