The 2017 MTV Music video awards were all about spectacular performances and powerful words. It was held on August 27, 2017 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, honoring music videos released between June 25, 2016 and June 23, 2017.
Katy Perry, who severed as the night’s host, started with a video sketch about space travel that featured astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Peggy Whitson. Also Kendrik Lamar set the stage on fire, literally, when he performed mini-medley of his songs with a man totally engulfed in flames. And even though Taylor swift couldn’t make it, her new music video was premiered in the event, followed by Miley Cyrus, whose strong vocals rocked the stage.
