Baalbek International Music Festival 22 July – 28 August
The breathtaking, magical Roman ruins in Baalbek are about to be lit up once again for Lebanon’s biggest international music festival. Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the festival’s large stages will feature Egyptian songbird Sherine Abdel Wahab, vocalist Abeer Nehme, French performer Jean Michel Jarre, pop singer-songwriter Mika, as well as many other Arab and international stars. The festival is one of the few occasions where you can enjoy classical music, dance, theatre, opera, jazz and modern acts, while being surrounded by amazing ancient Roman temples.
Summerfest June 29-July 3/ July 5- 10
Only Wisconsin’s Summerfest can pull off 11 days, 11 stages and over 800 acts of rock, country, r&b, pop, reggae headliners and more. Nearly 900,000 music fanatics are heading off to Milwaukee’s lakefront this summer to enjoy the annual festival with its live music, food, parties, exhibits, and of course, shopping. Scheduled Summerfest performers feature Martin Garrix, Willie Nelson, Rise Against, Passion Pit, Jason Derulo, Ryan Adams and Elle King. Summerfest, originally inspired by Munich’s famous Oktoberfest, is now on the verge of celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Lollapaloza 28-31 July
Marking its 25th anniversary, Lolla is celebrating this summer! Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and LCD Soundsystem are set to headline the first three nights of the festival. To boot, the event is also expanding to four days this year for the first time! Featuring over 170 bands, Lollapalooza is about to swamp Grant Park Chicago with the delights of alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock and hip hop bands as well as a sizable presence of dance and comedy performers. Exit Festival 2016 7-10 July 2016
The famous fortress festival in Serbia is coming back with an exceptional lineup this year. There is enjoyment for every taste on the main stages of the exit festival, which lasts for four blaze days, featuring rock, pop, EDM and much more. Confirmed performers include Bastille, David Guetta, Ellie Goulding, Wiz Khalifa, and many more diverse acts. The multi-award winning event creates an amazing vibe that attracts a huge crowd every year, while maintaining a social mission to help the youth in the Balkans.
Byblos International Festival 15 July – 9 August
Lebanon’s Byblos International Festival is coming back this year, with a special lineup featuring some epic Arab and international musical icons. The seaside summer festival will open with a massive show by Lebanon’s beloved Carole Samaha. Other confirmed acts include Grammy Award saxophonist Kenny G, Jamaican singer, actress and top model Grace Jones, the groundbreaking Mashrou’ Leila, influential pop artist Sia, and the magical operatic presence of Hishik Bishik. Byblos is known for gathering the world’s most iconic musical figures; and this summer, it is on track to do just that.
Boskilde Festival 25 June – 2 July
Craving a perfect camping experience while enjoying your favorite musical performances? Denmark’s Roskilde is back with over 180 acts from more than 30 countries! It is the largest culture and music festival in Northern Europe, featuring rock, heavy metal, urban music, and straight-up pop. This year, Roskilde’s 9 stages will feature LCD Soundsystem, New Order, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wiz Khalifa and Tame Impala, and many more spectacular acts. Roskilde draws over 100,000 passionate music lovers every year; and it is definitely a memorable experience.
Tomorrowland Belgium 22-24 July 2016
The groundbreaking Tomorrowland is coming back with some more music madness and marvelous decorations. It is the ultimate destination for thousands of electronic music fans, featuring Techno, Trance and Hardcore. Tomorrowland’s mind-blowing performances this year feature Grammy nominated producer and singer Alesso, Alan Walker, Egyptrance singers Aly & Fila, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Oliver Heldens and Steve Angello.
