For Altawal, her makeup journey began with a passion that gradually became a profession. Inspired at a young age by Joelle Mardinian and the emotional transformations she witnessed on television, she discovered that beauty could do far more than change appearances, it could change the way people felt about themselves. “Makeup has always been more than beauty to me; it’s a form of art and self-expression,” she says. “What started as a passion quickly became my career because I realised how much I loved making people feel confident and beautiful.”
That realisation was confirmed the first time she watched a client look in the mirror after a makeover. “The moment I saw a client’s reaction, I knew this was what I wanted to do,” she says. “Seeing someone smile with confidence because of something I created is incredibly rewarding.”
Today, Altawal’s signature style is defined by timeless elegance. Rather than chasing trends, she focuses on flawless skin, balanced features, and makeup that enhances each client’s natural beauty while remaining sophisticated both in person and on camera.

“The consultation is everything,” she stresses. “My artistry is about enhancing what’s already beautiful, so every look is customised to make the client feel confident, comfortable, and be themselves, just elevated.”
As social media continues to reshape the beauty industry, Altawal appreciates the opportunities it has created for artists to showcase their work and connect directly with clients. At the same time, she believes success still comes down to authenticity, consistency, and genuine skill.
For aspiring makeup artists, her advice is simple: never stop learning, prioritise education over an endless collection of products, and build meaningful relationships with clients. At the heart of it all, however, her philosophy extends far beyond makeup itself. “To me, beauty is confidence,” she says. “It’s not about perfection; it’s about embracing what makes each person unique. Makeup isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about highlighting your individuality and helping you feel like the best version of yourself.”
