Pakinam Kafafi, one of Egypt’s most influential energy leaders, has been the driving force behind TAQA Arabia’s growth for nearly two decades, leading to her current role as CEO. With over 30 years of experience, she has played a pivotal role in diversifying the company’s portfolio and expanding into key sectors such as renewable energy, water desalination, and EV charging, alongside its full value chain of conventional power and gas.
Today, TAQA Arabia, a publicly listed EGX company, operates across 18 governorates and 55 cities, serving over 1.8 million customers through its Gas, Power, Petroleum, and Water divisions. Under her leadership, the company delivers 7.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually, 1,300 MW of power, 165 fuel and CNG stations, and 120 MW of renewable energy projects. Ms. Kafafi has also spearheaded TAQA’s international expansion, establishing a strong presence across the MENA and Sub-Saharan regions including Tanzania, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, cementing TAQA Arabia’s status as a regional powerhouse.
