Naguib Sawiris is the Chairman of Orascom Investment Holding, a company that invests in high-growth sectors across Egypt and Africa, including tourism, renewable energy, logistics and telecoms. He also chairs La Mancha Resource Capital LLP, which advises on global investments in precious and energy-transition metals, and Ora Developers, a leading luxury real estate and hospitality company with projects worldwide. In April 2026, Italy awarded him the title of Grand Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ordine della Stella d’Italia), one of Italy’s highest civilian honours, in recognition of his role in strengthening bilateral relations between Cairo and Rome.
