Mounir Nakhla leads MNT-Halan, Egypt’s fintech unicorn, through a period of impressive regional expansion. In mid-2024, MNT-Halan raised approximately $157.5 million from international investors including the IFC and DPI to fund cross-border growth and product diversification; the company also completed the acquisition of Turkey’s Tam Finans to accelerate factoring and consumer credit services. Nakhla has emphasised scaling lending and payments operations while securing licences and partnerships to enter new markets across the Middle East and Africa.
