Salah Soliman Gamblat was appointed Minister of State for Military Production in February 2026. On the domestic front, he discussed deeper industrial integration between the Ministry of Military Production and the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) on the sidelines of the El Alamein International Airshow in September 2026, to foster coordination across defence and civilian manufacturing. Internationally, Gamblat has held talks on industrial partnership with Uganda, drawing on the ministry’s 260 production lines and nearly 980 CNC machines to strengthen exports across African markets.
