Hamed El Chiaty is an Egyptian tourism magnate who founded Travco Travel Company in 1979, transforming it into Travco Group International Holding, the Middle East’s leading leisure company with assets exceeding EGP 90 billion. He was recognised by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism for promoting tourism, notably introducing the North Coast to the tourism map. Travco operates 58 hotels, 21 Nile cruises, and has the region’s largest tourist transportation fleet. El Chiaty has expanded operations into the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Jordan, while actively participating in several chambers of commerce, enhancing the group’s influence.
