Lebanese actress, model, and social media influencer, Ghida Nouri rose to fame initially when she appeared with Bassem Youssef on his popular TV show, Elbernameg many years ago. She later on went to launch her namesake series of Youtube Video Blogs where she continues to discuss societal, political, and feminist issues.

As an actress, Ghida is known for her roles in TV shows like Sanaoud Ba3d Qalil in 2012 (Be Back in a Few), Napoleon & Mahrosa in 2013, Abu El Banat (Girls’ Father) in 2016, and Compulsory Choice in 2017. She also has three successful independent movies, Bekara (2010), Netflix’s Blind Intersections (2014), and Ali’s Secret (2020) under her belt. Between 2010 and 2015, Ghida also worked closely with filmmaker and Emmy Award winner Francois Verster, as one of the storytellers and influencers in his highly-acclaimed documentary, “The Dream of Shahrazad”.

The multi-talented Ghida is also a great painter. She started her artistic journey by painting mandala art, a geometric configuration of symbols inspired by the symmetry of the universe, and later started painting. Today, Ghida is one of the most prominent contemporary artists in the Arab region.  “Every painter is an inspiration for me in one way or another,” says Ghida, adding that Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Ahmad Oussama, Ahmed Farid, Raouf Raafat, and Silver Francis are some of the artists who have particularly influenced her art.
