Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation
Dr. Rania Al Mashat was appointed Egypt’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation in July 2024, after serving as Minister of International Cooperation since December 2019. She led the development of the NWFE Platform, which aims to mobilise climate finance and foster international partnerships for Egypt’s green transition. Her efforts have gained international recognition, including being named the Most Visionary and Outstanding Minister of International Cooperation in Africa in 2022 by the George Washington University Institute of African Studies and the GE7 Initiative.
