Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif was appointed Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education in July 2024. He has outlined a comprehensive vision for educational development, focusing on leveraging technological advancements, reducing classroom student density, and enhancing both student skills and teacher capabilities. In August 2025, he presented a plan to integrate AI into high school education as well as promote the expansion of Egyptian–Japanese schools, STEM-focused education, as an effort to equip students with workforce-aligned skills.
