With a rich culinary career spanning different countries and continents, Chef Garcia promises to bring a fresh new take to Marriot Mena House, Cairo’s legendary extravaganza of gastronomy.

Born in Guatemala to parents who owned a Spanish restaurant in their hometown, Chef Garcia’s love for gastronomy from a very young age was inspired by his mother, a graduate of the San Sebastian Culinary school in Spain. His rich career in hospitality spanning many reputable kitchens around the world, from South America to Asia, Africa and the Middle East, has also played a huge role in the flavourful, unique dishes he has perfected in his culinary repertoire. He has been granted multiple awards along the way, including most recently the Honor Award for best Steak House in Doha by Time Out magazine and New Star Chef in Guatemala by Nuchef magazine.
