Dr.Badr Abdelatty was appointed Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in July 2024. He has achieved significant success in strengthening Egypt’s international position, emphasising the close relations, longstanding cooperation, and mutual interests between Egypt and the UAE, while expanding economic and trade ties with the EU, resulting in substantial European investment in Egypt. In August 2026, he inaugurated the 7th Edition of the Egyptians Abroad Conference in Cairo, bringing together state ministers and expatriate communities to strengthen national ties.
