Mohamed Amer is a seasoned business executive with over 23 years of experience at Xerox, where he held senior leadership positions across international markets before joining Orascom Development in 2022 as CEO of El Gouna. Over the past year, he has expanded his role as Managing Director for Commercial Activities at Orascom Development Egypt, overseeing the group’s commercial growth. Under his leadership, El Gouna launched new developments, including Nuba and Marina Island by Tuban, while advancing its hospitality and infrastructure expansion. He has also spearheaded sustainability initiatives, including expanding the town’s solar energy capacity to 15.8 MW. In October 2026, he announced plans to add 1,000 hotel rooms over the next four years, alongside continued efforts to strengthen El Gouna’s position as a leading year-round destination.
