Shamel Aboul Fadl is a prominent Egyptian entrepreneur, widely recognised for his bold leadership and transformative role in moulding Egypt’s financial ecosystem. He as well founded Compass Capital in 2010, and it has since grown into one of Egypt’s leading private equity firms. In addition to his role at Compass Capital, Aboul Fadl serves as Executive Chairman of Bonyan, a leading independent real estate investment company. In 2018, Compass acquired Bonyan from Qalaa Holdings. In July 2025, Bonyan became Egypt’s first Real Estate Operating Company (REOC) to go public.
