Sisters Yasmine and Farida Khamis have led Orientals Group since 2020, building on the legacy of their late father, Mohamed Farid Khamis, who founded the Group in 1979. Yasmine chairs Oriental Weavers Carpets, while Farida chairs Orientals Group, the British University in Egypt and Egyptian Propylene & Polypropylene. Under their leadership, Oriental Weavers has expanded into 118 countries, advanced factory automation and launched the OW Haptech Store in 2025.
