Ahmed Ezz is the founder of Ezz Steel, one of the world’s fastest-growing steel producers. In May 2025, the General Assembly and Board of Directors of the Arab Iron and Steel Union (AISU) elected Engineer Ahmed Ezz as the Union’s new Chairman during a session in Nouakchott, Mauritania, for the 2025–2029 term. In January 2026, Ahmed Ezz announced plans to invest around USD 1.16 billion (EUR 1 billion) over the next two years to expand production capacity.
