Since taking the helm of Banque Misr in 2024, Hisham Okasha has overseen significant growth, with the bank’s assets reaching approximately EGP 4.2 trillion by October 2025. Under his leadership, Banque Misr has expanded its support for SMEs and sustainable finance, including a USD 150 million financing agreement with the IFC in 2026 to support green projects and women-owned businesses. The bank has also continued to advance digital transformation and its nationwide presence, with more than 880 branches across Egypt. Okasha continues to drive Banque Misr’s growth while strengthening its role in Egypt’s financial and economic development.
