Mohamed Farid Saleh

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade

Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh was appointed Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade in February 2026, after serving as Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). From the outset of Saleh’s stewardship, investment activity grew significantly, with around 26,000 new companies established between January and June 2026, a 20% year-on-year increase. Beyond facilitating business incorporation, he introduced the Investor Care Platform, a unified digital channel designed to streamline the submission, tracking and resolution of investor complaints, with around 69% already resolved ahead of its official launch. On the international front, he has led collaborations with the Bank of New York (BNY) to diversify the investor base and strengthen Egyptian companies’ access to global markets.
