Creating Experiences That Last Beyond the Photograph

In today’s world of luxury events, photographs have become far more than keepsakes; they are moments of connection, celebration, and storytelling. Few understand this better than Emily Milan, founder of Epic Photobooth in Los Angeles, a company that has redefined event photography by transforming it into an immersive guest experience. Enigma’s Reham Adel spoke with Milan about her entrepreneurial journey, the inspiration behind creating unforgettable guest experiences, and the power of bringing people together through meaningful moments.

Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Milan moved to Los Angeles determined to build a new future through entrepreneurship. Like many immigrants, she arrived with more than just ambition, resilience, and the belief that dedication could open doors. That vision eventually became Epic Photobooth, a brand built not simply around taking photographs, but around creating unforgettable moments.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the business, Milan explains, “I didn’t want to create just another photo booth company; I wanted to create experiences that make people laugh, connect, and leave every event with memories they’ll cherish. Every guest deserves to feel like the star of the event.”

Milan believes her greatest achievement has been earning something far more valuable: trust. Seeing clients return year after year, recommend Epic Photobooth to friends, and invite the team to share in life’s most meaningful celebrations remains her proudest accomplishment.

“It’s never just about the camera,” she says. “It’s about creating an atmosphere where everyone feels included. Whether someone is outgoing or shy, we want every guest to walk away smiling.”

This dedication was on full display during Enigma Magazine’s 13th Annual Celebration of Arab Glamour & Success in Beverly Hills, where Epic Photobooth partnered with the magazine to capture one of its most prestigious evenings. For Milan, the collaboration carried a deeply personal significance. “As someone with Arab roots, this event meant so much to me,” she shares. “It wasn’t simply another event; it celebrated culture, achievement, and the inspiring stories behind every successful individual in the room.”

Among her favourite memories was watching the photo booth naturally become a place where connections were formed. “One of the most rewarding moments was seeing strangers meet at the booth and leave as friends,” she says. “Those genuine interactions are exactly why I love what I do.”

In an era dominated by social media, Milan has witnessed first-hand how event photography has evolved. Guests now expect instant sharing, premium-quality content, and experiences that are memorable enough to post online. Rather than seeing this as a challenge, she views it as an opportunity to elevate every event.

She encourages brands and event organisers to prioritise meaningful interactions over visual perfection. “Focus on people before perfection,” she advises. “Create experiences that encourage guests to laugh, connect, and become part of the celebration. Those are the moments they’ll remember and the ones they’ll naturally want to share.”

Looking ahead, Epic Photobooth continues to expand beyond traditional event photography, introducing new interactive experiences that value creativity and innovation. “We’re constantly developing new ways to create unforgettable moments,” Milan says. “The future is incredibly exciting, and we’re only just getting started.”

She concludes with gratitude for the community that continues to inspire her. “Thank you to Enigma Magazine for celebrating Arab excellence and allowing me to be part of such a meaningful milestone. It has truly been an honour.”
