Ahmad Hammouda co-founded Thndr, the Cairo-based digital investing app, and in May 2025 the company announced a $15.7 million funding round led by Prosus to scale investment offerings across the region. Thndr under Hammouda has expanded product access to retail investors, reporting rapid user growth and a rising share of first-time investors in underserved areas. The fresh capital is earmarked to develop new investment products, strengthen regulatory compliance across markets, and accelerate customer acquisition through localised offers.
