Technology Middle East

Emad Nabil’s leading sound solutions company

In the world of live performance, sound is not just the background, it is the pulse that carries emotion from stage to crowd. Few do it better than Technology Middle East, the audio powerhouse behind concerts for Amr Diab, Cairokee, Jennifer Lopez, Black Coffee, and Michael Bublé, as well as high-profile cultural and luxury events across Dubai and Cairo. Enigma’s Reham Adel caught up with founder Emad Nabil to uncover the vision, challenges, and ambitions driving the region’s leading sound innovator.

When Emad Nabil speaks about sound, it is never in purely technical terms. For him, sound is emotion, storytelling, and connection. This philosophy inspired him to found Technology Middle East, a company that has grown from a local partner into one of the region’s most esteemed names in live sound services.

“Sound has always been at the heart of how people experience art, culture, and connection,” Nabil explains. “What inspired me was the idea that behind every unforgettable performance is a team making sure every note and every word is felt with clarity.” From the outset, he built his company on a vision that connected technical mastery with creative passion, a combination that quickly established Technology Middle East as a trusted partner for concerts, corporate events, and landmark celebrations across the region.

At the core of the company’s ethos is a simple belief: sound is not just heard, it is felt. Nabil elaborates, “Every event deserves audio that amplifies emotion, tells a story, and connects audiences.” This people-centred philosophy has set the company apart, ensuring audiences walk away not only hearing the event but experiencing it on a deeper level.

Of course, standing out in a competitive industry requires more than dedication. “Innovation is in our DNA,” Nabil says. The company constantly invests in the latest systems, software, and training for its engineers, but Nabil insists that technology alone is not enough. “We treat each event as a canvas where sound design elevates the entire experience.”

Among the many memorable moments in his career, one event stands out: Cairokee’s record-breaking concert at Cairo Stadium, attended by more than 60,000 fans. Delivering sound on that scale required ingenuity. “We had to go beyond simply adding more speakers. We designed a custom line-array system with carefully positioned delay towers to ensure clarity across the entire stadium.”

Cairokee’s show was not the only major challenge. In 2019, they faced perhaps their most logistically complex assignment yet: providing sound for three royal weddings on the same day. The grooms were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. “By dividing responsibilities across specialised crews, while maintaining constant communication between them, we were able to execute all three weddings perfectly and on time. It was a proud moment for us, proof that even under the most intense logistical demands, we can deliver at the highest level.”

These events have taken place in extraordinary venues, from the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza to historic palaces and modern stadiums, each requiring unique solutions to deliver both power and precision. One particularly special project was Enigma’s Golden Globes Tribute, where the challenge was not only technical but atmospheric. “It wasn’t just about clarity and power: it was about creating an atmosphere that matched the glamour of a red-carpet, celebrity-driven evening. Every detail mattered, from ensuring seamless transitions for speakers to making sure the energy in the room reflected the prestige of the event.”

Looking ahead, his ambitions are bold yet focused. “Our goal is to set the gold standard for audio in the Middle East and beyond. In the next five years, we plan to expand into more international markets, continue investing in immersive technologies, and nurture the next generation of sound engineers. Growth for us isn’t just about size, it’s about continuing to shape how people experience live sound.”

Partnerships, he says, are central to this journey. “Trust is the foundation. We listen to the artist’s vision, collaborate with event planners, and align seamlessly with AV partners. By treating every collaborator as part of one unified team, we create events where everything feels effortless for the audience, even though behind the scenes it is a symphony of coordination.”

As for those aspiring to follow in his footsteps, Nabil offers advice drawn from his own journey: “Master your craft, but stay humble. This industry rewards those who combine technical knowledge with adaptability and teamwork. Never stop learning, as technology evolves fast. And most importantly, remember that behind all the gear and setups, our job is about people and emotions. Always put the audience experience first.”
