Mohamed Zaki El Sewedy, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), continues to have a significant impact on Egypt’s industrial sector. In August 2024, the FEI was selected to join the International Organisation of Employers’ board of directors, representing Egypt globally in labour and industrial policies. El Sewedy has been a strong advocate for vocational training, leading efforts to establish technology schools that are linked with industrial projects. He also spearheads initiatives like the “Decent Life” project, aimed at job creation and industrial development.
