Samih Sawiris is the Founder of Oras- com Development Holding, a major player in hospitality and real estate with assets in Egypt, Switzerland, Montenegro, and Oman. He is also the Chairman of the El Gouna Film Festival Board of Directors, which is set to host its eighth edition from 16 to 24 October 2025. In March 2025, Orascom Development Holding an- nounced its consolidated financial re- sults for FY 2024, reporting a strong performance despite the impact of the EGP devaluation. Real estate sales reached approximately CHF 818 mil- lion, revenue stood at CHF 631 mil- lion, and adjusted EBITDA rose by 12% to CHF 189 million.
