CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free
Zones
Hossam Heiba, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) in Egypt, has recently led several impactful initiatives. In April 2025, he introduced new reforms that cut red tape, enhanced transparency, and created a more attractive climate for investors. Heiba also highlighted that digitalising government services and tax reforms have also played a pivotal role. He also announced preparations for four new public zones by the end of 2026, designed to absorb growing demand for industrial investment and reinforce the competitiveness of Egyptian exports.
