Mahmoud Tawfik has served as Egypt’s Minister of Interior since 2018. He has made significant progress in bolstering national security by taking down many terrorist cells in a short period of time. He also made notable efforts in international cooperation, including strengthening ties with international partners as well as representing Egypt in several international forums and at counterterrorism meetings abroad.
