Deswan is a graduation project by mass communication students at Cairo University.
It is a marketing campaign for Aswan through which we bring to light the green side of the city and promote it as a new environmental travel destination, showcasing green projects, hotels, and different eco-friendly activities in line with the sustainable approach across the globe.
The campaign aims at highlighting the privileges of living green to enhance the mental and physical health of the visitors while we take them through the green experience. The ultimate goal is to convince people to travel sustainably.
The campaign sheds light on the efforts made by the Egyptian state to shift towards green, sustainable tourism, confront climate change, and preserve environmental resources and make them free from pollution. The country has reached this milestone on its way towards green transformation, starting with Fares Village, the first environmentally friendly village in Egypt, and the Benban Solar Power Station.
The students carried out various educational activities for eco-friendly schools to raise awareness of sustainable development in Kom Ombo and Aswan as part of the project’s executive mechanisms.
