Oriental Coast Rally 2021

OUD’s annual OC Rally, which takes place at Oriental Coast, the fully integrated mixed-use resort in Marsa Allam, just held its third edition of the rally race. The event was in collaboration with the Bosla team and, as usual, was attended by Egypt’s most passionate rally teams and competitors who come together as a community to participate in this unique and special event. Just like every year, the event includes a set of challenges and mini competitions, as well as the big race which includes fierce competition and impeccable teamwork.

The year of this year’s 4×4 challenge was Rasha Abdelhameid, who took the field in a Jeep Cherokee. 15 contestants from different teams participated in this challenge, with Abdelhameid overcoming all the obstacles with her driving skills and coming out on top.

When it came time for the big open-space race in the desert, with limited audience in attendance for safety measures, the competition was on fire between the 14 participating teams. eniGma was in the heart of this race, with the full live-coverage available on our social media. The race was about 295 kilometres long, taking place over two parts, 175 kilometres each. Each team in this race consisted of two members; the pilot and the co-pilot. The pair have to work together in order to reach the finish line first and rank the highest. In first place came Rahala, who have a phenomenal track record in the past editions of OC Rally. Rahala’s team was piloted by Tarek Elerian and co-piloted by Hany Madbouly. In second place was the Amino Brothers, piloted by Omar Amin and co-piloted by Hesham Amin. Finally, in third place came Alfa rally team, piloted by Ramy Abas and co-piloted by Joaily.

This year’s edition of OC Rally was a success, to say the least. It was a breath of fresh air for Rally fanatics who were deprived of the event in 2020 due to the pandemic and the tough situation the world was in. We can’t wait to see what next year’s event will be like!
