Bringing a unique style and appetite for new ideas to a wide range of commercial and residential spaces, Hossam Nabil has made a name for himself as a master architect and interior designer. eniGma met with the creative guru, to discover how he brings his vision to reality.
Known for his artistic eye for geometric shapes and composition from a young age, architecture and interior design were natural paths for Hossam Nabil to pursue. After studying architecture at university, Nabil was keen to jump headfirst into the field. He began training under Mohamed Noaman, the father of interior design in Egypt. No limits to design was a core principle that Nabil believed in and practiced to move on with creating his own identity and vision.
Practicing both architecture and interior design means that Nabil is able to bring together these two complementary skill-sets to create the perfect design. “I think the power of a good interior designer is in understanding the architecture. If you have the right architecture, you can create the perfect interior. Whereas, if you don’t have good architecture, you will have to redesign the space before you can do anything with it,” he explains. Based on his extensive experience, Nabil tells us, “The best design should be pleasing to the eye, the soul and create an experience.”
“My style is centered around being sleek, streamlined, simple and elegant. It is different every time,” he explains. Nabil finds much of his inspiration from travelling around the world, and observing global trends.
Nabil’s expertise comes into play, not just in realising his vision, but also in constructing a concept suited to every individual client. “It is very important to know the character, taste and style of the client. I execute my vision, while also meeting the client’s direction and character. Therefore, every house reflects both the client’s character and my vision for the space,” he states. “Once the vision has been formed, the real design work can begin,” Nabil explains, adding, “The 3D designs we create are usually around 90% the same as the end product, meaning that with our designs, people are really able to see what they get.”

But that’s not all. “People come to us because of our credibility as architects, our customer care and the fact that they will always be met with new ideas,” Nabil proudly states. In the future, Nabil wants to expand this exceptional service across the region. “There are so many amazing Egyptian designers, and I think we have to go beyond Egypt and start working outside. This is my goal,” he explains.
In addition to offering architecture and interior design services for commercial and residential spaces, Nabil has recently launched a line of products, featuring lighting, tables and accessories. Explaining his grand plans looking forward, he says, “I definitely want to grow this line in the future, and I really want it to express our Egyptian culture, but with a modern twist to it.”
