On August 7th 2018, Enigma Magazine organised its 4th annual Celebration of Arab Glamour & Success in Beverly Hills, California. Two of the biggest celebrities in the Middle East, Egyptian superstars Laila Eloui and Khaled AbolNaga, were the guests of honour at the beautiful event at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. With each annual celebration, Enigma aims to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Arab culture in America by showcasing Arab success stories.This year, Enigma’s event hosted over 300 VIP guests including American superstar Nick Cannon, Egyptian satirist, Bassem Youssef, Lebanese/American film producer and entrepreneur Elie Samaha, Syrian/American film producer Malek Akkad and the famous Plastic Surgeon Dr. Garo Kassabian. Each year, the highlight of Enigma’s celebration in Beverly Hills is the presentation of the Enigma Achievement Awards, to honour leading Arab personalities and entrepreneurs, who have had an international impact through their careers. In past years, Enigma Achievement Award recipients included Lebanese/American film producer and entrepreneur, Elie Samaha; renowned Syrian/American dermatologist, Dr. Zein Obagi; Egyptian media mogul, Hala Sarhan; Egyptian television and movie icon, Yousra, and Egyptian television and movie star, Amr Youssef. Last year, Egyptian super star Tamer Hosny, Egyptian super star Angham; Egyptian-American business woman, Laila Pence and Saudi author and researcher Dr. Haifa Jamal Al- Laila were the recipients of the awards. This year, the 2018 Enigma Achievement Awards recipients included Egyptian entrepreneur Gamal Aziz,for Excellence in the Hospitality Industry; Kuwaiti entrepreneur and investor Dr. Saad Al Barrak, for Excellence in Telecommunications and Information Technology; Palestinian/American real estate developer and entrepreneur Mohamed Hadid, for Excellence in Architectural Design and Development and Egyptian actress Laila Eloui, for Excellence in Film and Television. Enigma was also proud to introduce the Enigma Rising Star award to highlight young Arabs with the courage, determination and vision to improve their industries and their region. The award honors individuals who have made a mark at a young age and have the ambition, talent and work ethic to ensure a successful future. The first recipient of the Enigma Rising Star award was Egyptian entrepreneur and real estate developer Hassan Morshedy, for Excellence in Real Estate and Development.
