How to Get Your Day Started

We all find it a little too hard sometimes to get out from under our cosy blankets on freezing mornings and look forward to feeling productive! To help get you through your lazy mornings, here are some morning routine tips to boost your energy level and mood during the winter!

Warm up your bed

To avoid bone-chilling weather, make sure to warm up your bed before going to sleep. Try to leave your heater on for a while to spare yourself the struggle of getting out of bed to chilly weather.

Go to bed early

The best thing you can do to avoid feeling tired the next morning is to go to bed early the day before! Try to disconnect from all types of digital communication an hour before going to sleep. Reading a book will help you relax and get your beauty rest!

Replace your glass of wine with water

For optimal morning energy, avoid your much-needed glass of wine before sleeping! Try your best to drink a big glass of water to help your body stay hydrated all night long and feel energised the next morning.

Leave your blinds open

Leaving your blinds open will help you rise and shine as the sun enters your room. This is a perfect and natural way to signal to your brain and body to wake up feeling lively and active.

Drink a glass of warm lemon water in the morning

There are many benefits to drinking warm lemon water in the morning; it gives you an instant boost of energy, detoxes your skin and body, and helps with digestion.

Avoid hitting the snooze button

Hitting the snooze button after waking up is the worst thing you can do to your energy level! This will have you feeling grumpy for hours during the day.

Eat breakfast

Having a good breakfast does not only increase your level of concentration and energy, but it also keeps you feeling warm enough to face the freezing weather!

Exercise

If you don’t have the energy to exercise in the morning, make sure to at least get your body moving to boost your metabolism and elevate your mood all day long.
