Shows Making a Comeback After Christmas Break

If there’s one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that our favourite activity to do during the holidays is to stay in bed and binge-watch TV shows that we are addicted to. But, to everyone’s inconvenience, when we go on our Christmas vacation, our favourite shows do, too! We suffer through a midseason break; most likely post an insanely nerve-wracking cliffhanger.

Here are the top 5 shows – that we absolutely love – which are returning after the break, and when they’re scheduled to air.

  1. Grey’s Anatomy

It’s impossible to hate this show. Even if you hate it, you definitely love it. Grey’s Anatomy season 13 returns on January 20, 2017 after their midseason cliffhanger, where we will find out what happens to Alex Karev.

  1. The Vampire Diaries

It might come as a shock, but some people are actually still watching and enjoying this show even after Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) left. Season 8 returns on February 11, 2017.

  1. How to Get Away With Murder

This show has set the bar insanely high as far as cliffhangers go. Your best bet is probably to wait for an entire season to come out and then take a full day off of work to catch up on this show! (An extreme solution, but this is our tip to keep your nerves intact). Why do you do this to us, Shonda? Season 3, of one of the most addictive shows to ever be aired, is returning on January 20, 2017.

  1. The Big Bang Theory

Not a cliffhanger that has us pulling our hair out, but this “Friends” adjacent light comedy show really does pull you in once you start. The Big Bang Theory season 10 returns on February 3, 2017.

  1. The Blacklist

Season 4 returns on January 5, 2017, after the break, which is probably one of the earliest return dates for a show – and we are eternally grateful. There is nothing that makes us happier than a show that doesn’t take ages to come back after a midseason break!
