DAKAR FASHION WEEK

Earlier this month, the Senegalese capital, Dakar, celebrated the richness of African culture with the 17th edition of their annual fashion week.

Founded by the Senegalese fashion designer Adama Paris, the Dakar Fashion Week took place from the 5-9 June, and included two vibrant fashion shows held at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Dakar Fashion Week offers the perfect opportunity for young African designers to demonstrate their original of collections while also honoring the beauty of the African woman.

The fashion shows hosted around 30 African participants, which included not only designers living across Africa, but many based in the US and Paris as well.
