When Cairo’s sassiest socialite Heba Elawadi turned 21, everyone turned out for a night of serious funk and fabulousness.
With her stunning Mohandessin apartment transformed into a disco diva wonderland complete with glitter
balls, the glam guests were glad they took heed of her strict instructions to come decked out in over-the-top 70s
gear. Naturally the birthday girl was the belle of the disco ball dressed in a gorgeous gown by Egypt’s favourite
designer Hany El Beheiry. Other tongue-in-cheek sartorial notables included Heba’s sister Hana in a pair of spectacular sparkly flares teamed with a fur-lined house coat, party prince Teymour El-Derini in an outrageous leopard
print coat and bright orange curly wig, Yusef Elansari in a bright red glitter shirt complete with over-sized Elvis
wig, and Waleed Mowafi who dared to bare in some seriously short (and tight) denim shorts! Always the queen of
quirk, Heba’s party-food treats included a Little Mermaid cake, oversized ‘21’ branded cupcakes and a fun-for-all
candy-floss machine. With awesome retro tunes pumping out the speakers all night, it wasn’t until four in the morning
that the rollicking frolicking crowd even thought about leaving. Happy Birthday Hebz!
