You will never hate any man as much as you hate the one you’re about to marry. However, intense loathing welling up from the very pit of your stomach is – apparently – entirely socially acceptable behaviour. This is evidenced by the knowing nods and smug smiles (the sort accompanied by very slow blinking) you receive from friends and family when you desperately try and share your misgivings. So, don’t worry, it’s perfectly OK to want to hunt him down and destroy him; it’s normal to want to torture him in the way he’s tortured you throughout this entire process by not understanding that this is your Wedding Day and you’ll cry, scream and be a spoilt bitch if you want to.
