Movies Nominated for the 2017 Oscars Academy Award Nominees for Best Picture

The Oscars are the highlight of awards season. Everyone waits for the Oscars, mostly just to see which celebrity wore what on the red carpet. However, sometimes, we’re actually interested in the movies and actors that win awards, in the hopes that it might encourage us to watch that movie we’ve been putting off for months (“La La Land”, we’re talking to you). Here are this year’s nominees for best picture.

The musical starring two of our favourite actors, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, that everyone can’t stop fussing about. Mia, an aspiring actress, meets Sebastian, a jazz musician. But as success comes, they are faced with decisions that begin to affect their love affair and threaten to tear them apart.

We can’t wait to see which one of these nominees will go home with an award tonight!
